The Most Comfortable Ride on 3 Wheels? Meet One Breeze E-Trike Review

Introduction

If you’re over 50, dealing with joint pain, or just tired of unstable two-wheelers, you’ve probably asked yourself: Is an electric trike the answer? But then the questions come—Is it stable? Is it safe? What about comfort on long rides?

I’m Lisa from E-Biking Today and I’m reviewing the Meet One Breeze Folding E-Trike. And I’ll be honest—this trike surprised me in a few ways I didn’t expect. Let’s break it all down.

Comfort and Riding Position

Right away, the thing that sets the Breeze apart is the semi-recumbent forward pedal position. Instead of your knees pushing straight down, you’re pedaling slightly forward—kind of like you’re relaxing in a chair.

I noticed this took the pressure off my lower back and knees. For anyone with joint sensitivity or recovering from an injury, this is a game-changer. The large saddle and backrest added to the comfort—no small, stiff seat here. There’s more on the seat and sizing in a bit.

Another thing that’s great about this e-trike, is that the standover height is just 15.7 inches, making it easy to mount and dismount. This is helpful for anyone but especially important if you have limited mobility, pain, or joint issues.

Stability and Safety

Let’s talk stability. This trike has a wide rear wheelbase of 48.8 inches, which gives it a sturdy feel.

Add in the anti-tip wheels and the Breeze stays planted—even on bumps or uneven paths. So, I never felt like I was going to tip over. Here’s another reason for its stability.

A key feature is the speed differential system. What this does is automatically adjust the wheel speed between the left and right rear tires during turns. This is really important on a 3-wheel trike. Having a rear differential made it feel safe and smooth going around corners, and even around trees.

Battery and Range

This is where the Meet One Breeze electric trike really shines. Out of the box, you get a 48V 15Ah battery, which gives you 30 to 80 miles depending on your riding style.

But here’s the kicker—you can install a second battery and run both at the same time. No pausing to swap. No weird balancing act. Just a seamless switch between power sources. That’s up to 40Ah of total capacity, which is perfect for extended rides, commutes, or even delivery use.

Performance and Riding Modes

The Breeze is powered by a 750W brushless motor with an impressive 80Nm of torque. You’ve got three riding pedal assist levels and a thumb throttle. I liked using the throttle when navigating stop-and-go traffic, and pedal assist for longer weekend cruises. The throttles maximum speed is based on which of the three levels you’re using. I found that I needed to be on pedal assist level 2 in order to quickly take off from stops or cross intersections.

Uphill rides? No problem. I took it up several hills and even a steep incline. It held strong and powered up easily using power assist level 3. A word of caution though. If you stop pedaling or try to increase assistance after starting up a big hill, you may find yourself not going anywhere. So plan ahead and use the brakes until you can get yourself going again.

And here’s a truly unique feature I’ve never experienced before…There’s a reverse mode. If you’ve ever tried turning around a heavy e-trike in a tight spot… well, you can’t. So having the ability to back up the Breeze just like a car… pretty awesome. It took a little practice but eventually I had it down. Note that, in order to reverse the trike, you need to be on zero, no power assist. Then hold the minus button down for as long as you are reversing and press the thumb throttle to move backwards.

Braking and Safety Lights

For braking, you’ve got 180mm mechanical disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. They’re responsive, even when I was going downhill fully loaded.

Add in rear brake lights that flash when stopping and a waterproof LED headlight rated IP65, and you’re covered for night rides or poor weather conditions.

There’s also a parking brake, which locks the wheels when parked so the trike doesn’t roll—really handy on sloped driveways or loading ramps.

Utility and Storage

This thing isn’t just for leisure. You’ve got serious carrying capacity:
– Rear basket: up to 100 lbs
– Front basket: up to 40 lbs
– Total payload: 450 lbs

I loaded lots of groceries in the back and, put what didn’t fit in the front basket. It was a lot of fun going to the grocery store and being able to carry dinner home… and a lot of other things. Doing this made me appreciate how sturdy AND practical the Breeze e-trike is.

Build, Tires, and Display

The 18×4.0” all-terrain fat tires grip well on pavement, grass, and loose gravel. Plus, you get front suspension, which smooths out bumps and dips.

The front of the Breeze also folds, making it slightly more compact, if that helps. Keep in mind it still weighs in at 145 lbs with everything attached. You’ll almost certainly need two people to lift it for transport, even if you remove the battery first. Still, it may fit in a larger SUV or RV storage, or you might want to use a ramp. When folded, it measures 47.6 inches long, 33 inches wide, and 35.4 inches tall. Double-check your storage space or vehicle size if you plan to travel with it.

And finally, the color LCD display gives you everything at a glance—speed, range, power, and pedal assist level. I would’ve liked it to be a bit bigger and easier to read, but the controls are simple.

What You Need to Know Before You Buy

Before you click “buy,” here’s what you need to know.

Sizing & Fit

The Meet One Breeze is designed to fit riders from 4’7″ to 6’3″ thanks to its adjustable seat and handlebars. I tipped the handlebars up straight, and put the seat back as forward as possible, given my 5’1” height. This made the reach comfortable but I still couldn’t sit fully back into the seat while riding. So, this is something to consider if you’re a smaller rider and sitting back is important. I did really appreciate being able to kick back and rest when stopped though.

Price

The Meet One Breeze folding electric trike starts at $1349, so it’s great for first timers and riders on a budget. However, it offers a ton of value by including two baskets, anti-tip wheels, double mirrors, a large backrest, and a bike lock for free. As options, you can get an upgraded premium seat with backrest AND armrests, an additional battery, and several other accessories.

You might also like to check out the Pro version or the Full-Suspension option before choosing.

Now, if this is your first time riding an e-trike—take it slow. Start in a wide-open area, keep pedal assist on the lowest level, and practice turns and stops. Trikes handle differently than bikes—especially on corners. But with just a few minutes of practice, you’ll feel steady, safe, and confident behind the handlebars.

Breeze E-Trike Review: The Verdict

So, is the Meet One Breeze the most comfortable ride on 3 wheels?

I’d say—very possibly. Between the ergonomic design, smooth handling, and real utility features like reverse, dual battery support, and anti-tip wheels—this is a trike that fits a wide range of needs.

Whether you’re a senior rider, recovering from an injury, or just want a safe and stable ride for errands and exploring, the Breeze Folding E-Trike delivers.
